Wedding Photography Packages start at $2850 (3 hours) and include your fully edited high resolution digital files with print rights.
Most clients invest $5000-$6000 for a full wedding collection.
All collections include your high resolution digital files which are displayed in a beautiful downloadable gallery you can share with friends and family, and order high quality professional prints from. My style is a mix between candid and light posing to give you a full gallery of images that document your day and also provide you with beautiful imagery. You can expect to receive approximately 50 images per hour during your day, or about a photo per minute (example 8 hours of shooting is at least 480 images). HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?
The feedback I hear from most clients is that I feel like an old friend, and I LOVE that! The most important thing when choosing your photographer is that you connect – you feel comfortable and at ease around them. This way, on your wedding day, it’s like I am just another friend there to celebrate with you and you don’t have to worry about my camera! Your images will be natural, organic and will truly represent you! My goal with photographing weddings is to be present and interactive, while capturing authentic moments.
I switch between directional posing and candid photojournalism throughout the day as needed. I will provide direction and prompting for portraits and family photos, and will be in the moment and ready to capture candid moments throughout the getting ready, ceremony and reception. I want your day to unfold organically and without too much interruption. I also have no problem getting on the dance floor with your guests to capture the fun!! My images are authentic, fun and romantic. I love using light to create interesting and dynamic imagery. My editing style is a mix between bright and airy & darker, moodier shots depending on the atmosphere and emotion being captured.
WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?
I love working with clients who love without fear, laugh without reservation and want to have a wedding to celebrate their love and the support they receive from their friends and family. After-all, I believe your wedding is to celebrate your love, and your story! I want to laugh with you, cry with you and capture all the moments in between and enjoy every moment of your day along with you! Even if the limo is 10 minutes late or your special order Harry Potter socks didn’t arrive in time! The day is going to be awesome!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
I open bookings about 18 months in advance, and accept weddings anytime after that as dates are available. Most weddings are typically booked 12-15 months in advance for popular summer weekends (May-September). Off season and weekday weddings are usually about 6-8 months in advance.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
Thanks so much for asking! 2024 Full Day Wedding Collections start at $5250 for 6 hours of continuous coverage. I offer up to 10 hours coverage, as well as smaller 3-4 hour weddings for weekdays and off-season (November-April). My sweet spot for full weddings is 6-8 hours, and I would gladly share with you full wedding galleries which display what that amount of time looks like! While most weddings are much longer than this, running from 12-16 hours, the time spent with photography coverage is much, much less! I love to start with about 1-1.5 hours left of your getting ready, and continuing through the events of the day until we enter about 20 minutes of dancing. DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
I do! I take a limited travel bookings because I have 2 small kids at home! I do weddings anywhere around Victoria and on Vancouver Island year round – and offer destination weddings in the off season from November-April. Special exceptions can always be made – anything is possible! I do offer some travel discounts for destinations I haven’t visited before or that offer a neat vacation to bring my family along for work! Let me know what you had in mind and I would love to discuss it more with you!
DO YOU HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Packages do not include a second photographer, but one can be added to any day. Smaller weddings I work solo for the most part, but you have the option to add a second photographer should you feel your wedding needs the extra coverage. I would be happy to discuss with you whether a second photographer would be beneficial for your wedding! The main reasons would be if you and your partner are getting ready separately and want both of you getting ready photographed, if you have a large guest list of 120 or more it’s nice to have an extra photographer for more guest photos, and depending on whether you do a first look or traditional ceremony having a second photographer allows for more vantage points to get you and your partners reactions of seeing each other for the first time. Otherwise I am happy working solo and being fully present with you!
CAN WE SEE A FULL WEDDING GALLERY?
Yes, absolutely! I encourage you to view full galleries to make sure you love an entire style of wedding photography and not just the highlights. You can find full wedding galleries HERE. If you are wanting to see a wedding at a particular venue – send me a note and I can direct you to where to find it!
DO YOU OFFER ELOPEMENTS?
YES! I offer custom elopement packages which are tailored to your needs. An elopement is a small gathering of 10 guests or less and we can explore the landscapes for photos as you wish!
HOW LONG DO WE NEED FOR PHOTOS ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
This question depends on a few factors but typically I don’t like to take you away for more than an hour with your photos. I love capturing candids of you with your guests and if we leave for multiple hours you end up missing your own party! I would be happy to work on a photography timeline with you to maximize your photos without you missing too much. I also love to wisk the two of you away after dinner around sunset for 15-20 minutes of photos of just the two of you. This is always a favourite time as you get to be alone and absorb the day so far! And bonus! You get some gorgeous glowy sunset photos too!
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON MY WEDDING DAY?
If it rains – we bring umbrellas! Vancouver Island is rainy in the winter/spring/fall and even a couple times in summer. The great thing is the rain never lasts long, so we grab umbrellas and embrace the wet! If you hate the rain, we can always come up with an alternate plan before your wedding to avoid it!
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
I don’t guarantee a number of images as each wedding is different. I have no minimum number of images and also no maximum. I typically deliver about 50 images per hour of shooting so for a full 8 hour day you will typically receive 400+ images. Your gallery is curated to represent the best photos of the day that tell your story and represent the quality of work I deliver. Your images will be send to you in high resolution JPEG format in an online gallery that you can share with your friends and family.
HOW LONG BEFORE I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
You will receive a few sneak peeks from your wedding within the first 48 hours after your wedding (whenever possible) so you can share right away! The rest of your fully edited high resolution images will be delivered to you in an online gallery within 3 months of your wedding.
DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU AT OUR WEDDING?
Yes please! If I am scheduled during your dinner please include me in your dinner count (and my second shooter if you have one!). You do not need to seat us with your guests but we do need a table for us to eat somewhere with cutlery. If it works out with your seating chart that there is an extra spot I am happy to eat with your guests! I prefer to eat immediately after you and your wedding party (before your guests) so I can quickly finish and get back to work capturing speeches and anything else happening!
WE WANT TO BOOK! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Hooray! I am so excited you want to work together! First, if we haven’t been in touch yet, fill out my contact form below to get in touch to make sure I have your date available! From there we can arrange a call or meet up to discuss your wedding plans and photography needs to make sure it’s a great fit. In order to book you in we complete a contract and I take a 40% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date! After that we are all booked! Your full balance is due one month prior to your wedding date – but you are welcome to make payments throughout the months leading up.
