Okay, finally I can post a wedding! Phew! I know I am far behind, but it will be fun to catch up and go through my photos!
These two wonderful people got married last summer (2012) and I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement & wedding. I have known Adam and Evelyn for well over a year now, and I can honestly say I really think these two are made for each other. It is such a wonderful thing when people connect so well and understand each others sense of humour and Adam and Evelyn definitely connect on that level! They just get each other. Their wedding day was beautiful, filled with family and friends and really cute personal touches. It was my first time shooting a wedding at Bear Mountain, (Victoria, BC) and hope it’s not my last. The ceremony circle is beautiful and simple, surrounded by lush green grass and a beautifully landscaped golf course. I loved the arbor that covered the walkway and there a lots of neat textures to be found on the property, one of my favorites being a wooden door.
I started with Evelyn in her room with the girls while David was with Adam in a room one floor below. I can’t believe how calm and collected Evelyn was, I have never met a more laid back bride. She got ready in no time at all and got to spend some time relaxing before the big moment. The ceremony itself was beautiful, complete with personalized vows and hand binding. After the ceremony we were shuttled up to the signature hole which is high above the city for some group shots. We spent some time getting group shots and some bride and groom shots before the rain started and we headed back in to the reception. A little later that evening we slipped back outside to do some night photos. Here are some of my favorite shots of both the engagement and the wedding:
